Consolidation generic pharmaceutical industry in Bulgaria continues
Sandoz, Egis and Richter Gideon are new members of BGFarmA
Board members of the Bulgarian generic Pharmaceutical Association (BGPharmA) welcomed the decision of Sandoz, Gideon Richter and Egis to become regular members of BGPharmA and unanimously voted for their adoption of regular members at its meeting of June 11, 2009 in Sofia.
BGPharmA established itself as an association representative of the entire generic pharmaceutical industry attending the Bulgarian market. Its main goal is consolidation of the generic pharmaceutical industry and partnership with the Bulgarian health authorities for the development of national drug policy in favor of the Bulgarian patients.
BGPharmA is a member of the European Generic medicines Association, which represents in the European institutions in Brussels over 400 manufacturers of generic drugs, which provide over 120 000 jobs in EU and saving over 25 billion Euro annually to the healthcare systems of EU.
